Phil started his career with Genesco, Inc., Nashville, TN, a Fortune 500 apparel company, where he served in various legal, staff and operational positions. In his nine years with Genesco he held positions as Associate Corporate Counsel, Director of Wage/Price Controls, Director of Operations Analysis and Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for Grief Menswear Division. Phil entered private law practice in 1978 and has concentrated his practice on general business/corporate matters, business litigation, wills, trusts and estates and certain taxation matters. Phil is admitted to practice in all Tennessee Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit (New Orleans).

John retired from a distinguished career in the Internal Revenue Service where he started as a Special Agent in the Intelligence Division and served as the Division Chief in Columbia, SC; he was Assistant District Director in Springfield, IL and Cinncinnati, OH; he held several executive positions in the criminal investigative division of the IRS and retired as the Assistant Commissioner. Since retirement John has practiced law privately in Brentwood concentrating on Federal and State taxation, general corporate matters; wills, estates and personal injuries. John is admitted to practice in all Tennessee Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, the U.S. Court of Claims and the U.S. Tax Court.
